Leadership Accelerator

Leadership Accelerator course modules are deliberately designed for professionals seeking to improve their management skills and increase their teams’ productivity. As organizations of all types grapple with rapid change and increasing complexity, leaders must be adept at multiple competencies, from systems thinking and problem analysis to self-awareness and empathic communication.

The curricula are structured so that participants can translate theory into practice, and insights into action. Using multiple modalities, Leadership Accelerator courses teach professional learners to apply various behavioral, organizational, and decision-making frameworks to their own experiences and business environments.

The range of topics covered can be tailored to specific organizational needs, or the specialized domain of an individual cohort. For example, a technology company may require an emphasis on complex systems thinking for its business leaders and a focus on developing empathy and emotional intelligence for managers on its engineering teams. Expertly curated learning resources, including case studies, videos, articles, and proprietary content, are also available to participants throughout the duration of their courses.

Current course offerings address a variety of topics to help leaders navigate and adapt to volatility and shifting market conditions, foster organizational diversity and innovation, and harness data for more informed decision making.

Managing Complexity

How do effective leaders inspire trust, motivate action, and make consequential decisions that result in successful outcomes? In this course, participants study practical tools and frameworks that can be applied to leadership challenges that arise in a competitive business environment. Focus Courses
Systems Thinking

This course focuses on effective leadership in complex social systems. Participants learn to recognize the characteristics of complex systems, and apply their understanding to predict how these systems evolve. We examine how to identify competitive advantages in rapidly changing environments, succeed in complex negotiations, and make more effective decisions. By developing a deep understanding of the nature of complex systems, participants will be better prepared to promote innovation and navigate change.

Behavioral Science for Leadership

In today’s increasingly complex and volatile world, behavioral science is key for a leader to successfully understand motivation and behavior—both their own and those of others—and use this knowledge to create change. Behavioral science is a blend of multiple disciplines from economics, psychology, neuroscience, to sociology. It provides insights into why people behave the way they do, on the basis of their motivations, beliefs, and goals, and from the influence of emotions and biases. In this course, participants develop their knowledge of human behavior in order to communicate and make decisions more effectively. Participants apply behavioral science to enhance employee engagement, improve client interactions, and overcome their own limitations and biases to make more effective decisions.

Data-Informed Decision-Making

Globalization and big data have made decision making increasingly complex and challenging. Organizations of all types require effective decision-makers, who can interpret and act upon the right data at the right time. This course is designed to help leaders understand the fundamentals of evidenced-based decision making. Participants learn the strategies that data scientists use to design metrics, gather key data, interpret results, and draw appropriate conclusions. This course will provide participants with the skills to make consequential, data-informed decisions that have a meaningful impact.

Leading Innovation for Impact

Today, leaders need to be agile, ready to continuously drive innovation, and able to foresee change. This course focuses on how to build and maintain teams that can innovate effectively. By studying individual differences, power dynamics, and the characteristics of effective teams, participants learn how to leverage cognitive diversity and create teams that are self-motivated and self-correcting. Participants also explore the tools of entrepreneurship, including methodologies for problem analysis and creative problem solving as well as determining metrics for success.
